Jerry Halstead’s Eve Conversion

This is an extremely well documented conversion project from Jerry Halstead and his web site: EVConvert.com. Started in August of 2005, the 1990 Ford Probe is Jerry’s second conversion.
I found this site very informative. From links to many manufacturers, how-to tools for battery layout and other conversion calculators, to the incredibly detailed documentation of the process of converting an ICE powered car to an EV. The dos, don’ts and gotchas are all highlighted in Jerry’s blog. I must admit that I learned a lot, but the blog was only part of the information. There are comments posted on each phase that provide suggestions and a lot of great information concerning that step.

A great example of excellent documentation for the Eve conversion, with all of the details available on the EVConvert website, I believe that this is a must-visit site for anyone considering a conversion of any vehicle. This site explains in detail the skills required to complete a conversion. Jerry also shows the amount of effort and patience required to execute a conversion.
While this effort is not complete (see Jerry’s site for life’s little diversions), he is making progress on this very tough project.
Please take a look at Jerry’s site and let us know what you think.
